pointerThe Richmond Caring Place Society is looking for a volunteer to coordinate tenant events and to create connections between tenant agencies in order to maximize their ability to serve clients and residents of Richmond. The Tenant Outreach Coordinator would support the Communications Committee of the RCPS Board and report to the Chair of the Communications Committee. The role would contribute to a caring and collaborative culture at the RCP. Time committment would be 10-15 hours per month for a minimum of 1 year. pointerEnglish Conversation Class – every Tuesday from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm or Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm for men and women of different cultures.

pointerLEAD Program: Certificate program offered in partnership with the Pacific Immigrant Resources Society; designed to assist immigrant women gain confidence in their ability to participate in an English-speaking, Canadian context. Spring and Fall sessions held every Tuesday and Thursday for 14 weeks from 12:30pm to 2:30 pm.

pointerWomen's Group Meeting: Guest speakers cover a variety of topics important to women and their families; held every third week of the month from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm.

pointerInclusive Community Programs: Annual Diversity Dialogue Conference, Workplace Diversity, Education Series, iamrichmond.ca Discussion Board, Rin3D (Diversity, Drama, Dialogue) Youth Program, Diversity Assessment Services. Programs are designed to assist newcomers, employers, youth, and residents to incorporate diversity and inclusion into their workplace or neighbourhood.

pointerSafe Harbour: 2-hour training session designed to create an understanding of diversity, cover issues of inclusion/exclusion and provide participants insight into how diverse community members might experience living in their community.

pointerSurfing Grannies: Certificate program offered in partnership with Microsoft Canada Development Centre. Free, basic computer classes for Seniors held over 6 consecutive Saturdays.
